CITY CAB IS GOING GREEN!
City Cab is currently operating ten "Green" vehicles that meet the green taxi requirement in the City of Los Angeles. City Cab's yearly goal is to continue air quality improvements by making all our vehicles environmentally friendly. Our Green taxis will include specific alternative fueled vehicles...meeting improved smog pollution emission levels for Super Ultra-low Emission Vehicles (SULEV) or cleaner status as well as lowered emission levels of Green House Gases (GHG or CO2).
Our plans are the following:
- 20 total green vehicles in service by the end of 2011
- 47 total green vehicles in service by the end of 2012
- 73 total green vehicles in service by the end of 2013
- 100 total green vehicles in service by the end of 2014
- 126 total green vehicles in service by the end of 2015

Our Dispatch System is computerized and constantly monitored, upgraded to insure that we maintain the highest efficiency. San Gabriel Transit, Inc. dba City Cab consists of over 170 new taxi cabs, 11 of which are CNG (compressed natural gas) and vans with many additional Green Cabs phasing in to replace existing fleet with environmentally friendly vehicles.
Our service hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We accept Business and personal voucher accounts and honor all senior citizen coupons. discount coupons are also accepted and are available through our web-site or our Marketing department.

Monthly billing is available for corporate, small business and hotel account holders. Messenger service, package delivery and pharmacy prescription delivery and pickup service and lastly airport passenger pickup from LAX is available 24/7.
We comply, meet and exceed ADA requirements. To meet ADA community service demand our taxi company voluntarily replaced 8 taxi cab sedans with 8 new wheelchair accessible minivans. Accessible taxi vans are available 24/7 and our wheelchair van drivers are certified, trained and professional. We know how to take care of our clients and are sensitive to their needs. City Cab is an authorized taxi company regulated by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and we adhere to all the rules and regulations. All of our taxi cabs and drivers are fully permitted, licensed and insured.
We accept all major credit cards. All taxi vehicles are equipped with highly accurate mileage and trip duration “SMART” meters to ensure proper trip charges with receipt printing capability.
